Led by principal designer Dana Ferraro, the studio is known for a Neo-traditional point of view - a mix of old and new, high and low, blended into rooms that feel collected rather than decorated. Dana takes her cues from how clients actually live, using her visual eye and knack for styling to turn rooms into spaces that are polished enough for company and comfortable enough for every day.

The firm specializes in full-house decorating - layered, livable rooms brought together through furnishings, textiles, art, and antiques that feel collected over time. For clients renovating or building new, Dana partners in the earliest stages with architects and contractors, so the decorating vision shapes the plans from the start rather than getting fitted in after. The firm's work has been featured in House Beautiful, Rue, New England Home, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, AtHome and The Potted Boxwood.

Our name

Molly Patton Design is named for its founder, Dana's longtime creative partner. The two met in 2007 at a lifestyle magazine in Manhattan, began styling events in the city, and grew the practice into a residential design studio in the Connecticut suburbs. Molly passed away far too soon. The studio continues in her name, carrying forward the eye, warmth, and spirit she brought to every project.
